Mapping Carbon is a broad interrogation of spatial typologies implicit in mapping carbon sources and sinks, and parallels ongoing lab research across several longer term projects on the geohistory and contemporary manifestations of fossil urbanization. The project develops a theoretical framework for analyzing carbon “chains,” “bombs,” and “sinks,” and the infrastructural, political, and financial apparatus underpinning their spatial form.
