Carlo Diaz is a composer, designer, and artistic researcher. He is a lecturer and project and communications coordinator in the Committee on Environment, Geography and Urbanization (CEGU) and Urban Theory Lab at The University of Chicago and adjunct faculty in music composition and audio technology at Harper College. His work explores the acoustic representation of historical sound and the rich intertemporality of contemporary aural practices. His most recent publication is an online edited collection, Imagining the Non-Present: Thought Experiments on Rich Temporality in Sound, published on the SONUS platform of the Orpheus Institute in Ghent, Belgium.
